Jim Unterberger retired from the Kimball Fire Department in October 2003. Unterberger served the department for 21 years. He served as both training officer and captain, and was instrumental in the start-up of the rescue squad. Kimball Fire Department Chief Tom Ehlinger presented Unterberger with a plaque for his 21 years of loyal service to the Kimball Fire Department.
