911 Dispatchers Week

National Public Safety Telecommimications (911 dispatchers) week has recently concluded. I would like to take this time to thank all of our dispatchers for their continued work and dedication providing excellent services to our public safety. Each year, a week has been set aside to raise awareness of the hard work, dedication, and the vital link to public safety services our 911 dispatchers provide, and we have come to rely on everyday.

When you call our dispatch center, or 911 in an emergency, the dispatcher on duty will provide professional assistance from the routine call; for service to dire emergencies linking you to all of Meeker county?Äôs public safety and Law Enforcement services.

In 2013, The Sheriff?Äôs office dispatchers received more than 29,000 incoming phone calls.

Of these, 7,400 were 911 phone calls, and initiated 16,344 calls for service through Computer Aided Dispatching (CAD) software.

Our dispatchers are hard working, dedicated professionals and do an outstanding job on a daily basis, and I want to take this opportunity to publicly say ?ÄúThank you?Äù for their hard work and dedication.
