World War II veterans and their families are invited to a Prayer Breakfast Saturday, May 29, at the American Legion Post #261, Hwy. 15 South, Kimball. Breakfast will be served to the general public from 8 a.m.-12 noon, with special events and recognition given to World War II veterans from 8-10 a.m. This breakfast is being held to recognize local veterans for sacrifices they made to make our country what it is today. It is being held in conjunction with the long-awaited National World War II Memorial to be dedicated in Washington, D.C. World War II veterans and their spouses may attend the breakfast for free. Other family members, friends and the general public will pay $5 per person. Veterans will also receive a complimentary gift from the American Legion. Registration is not required, but if you plan on attending please call the American Legion at (320) 398-5785 by May 26, so we can order accordingly. Michael E.
