Cold front and flurries

·

It was a mild day on Monday to kick off the work and school week. Temperatures were unseasonably mild with highs climbing into the mid- to upper-40s and even some 50s across parts of southern Minnesota. This was because of a warm Pacific air mass that pushed across the Upper Midwest on Monday.

A cold front quickly arrived, however, by late Monday night into Tuesday that brought some colder weather to the state. Temperatures fell into the mid- to upper-20s across most of the region on Tuesday. A couple of flurries were in the forecast across parts of east central Minnesota on Tuesday.

Look for a bit of an increase in cloud cover for Wednesday. Some light snow can?Äôt be ruled out for Wednesday as a weak disturbance slides across the state. Temperatures will be near average for this time of the year for the midweek.

It looks quiet at this stage for Thanksgiving Day on Thursday. Temperatures will be near average for late November.

We are expecting to pull in some mild Pacific air on Friday once again. Some light rain will be possible on Friday mainly early in the day. We could see some 50s once again on Friday. Colder weather will return just in time for the weekend.

Have a great and safe Thanksgiving with family and friends!
