The Central Minnesota Farm Show Committee awarded 10 scholarships worth $500 each at the 2017 Central Minnesota Farm Show. Anna Donnay of Kimball Area High
School was the recipient of one of these scholarships.
Donnay plans to attend South Dakota State University this coming fall to study dairy science with the hope to partner with her brother after graduation to run her family?Äôs organic dairy farm. ?ÄúI would also like to open up my own bakery and incorporate ice cream, yogurt, cheese and milk from our cows,?Äù she said. Donnay is involved in several extracurricular activities including FFA, National Honor Society, cross country, track and field, and band.
The Central Minnesota Farm Show, sponsored by the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce, is the largest show of its kind in the upper Midwest. It takes place annually at the St. Cloud River?Äôs Edge Convention Center. Since 1982, the Central Minnesota Farm Show Committee has awarded over 200 scholarships totaling nearly $75,000 through the Chamber?Äôs ?ÄúUnite for Success?Äù Scholarship Program to individuals pursuing a career in agriculture.
