Troop 83 traveled to the Mall of America March 14, and had a day of adventures. The girls enjoyed window shopping and looking around the mall. Some have never been to the MOA, so the four levels of shops were fun to see. Being girls, they wanted to buy almost everything. All girls had a budget. They knew what they could spend on fun things, and turned out to be very choosey and selective about their purchases. One even commented that it was “cheaper at the last store.” They became great shoppers. At 5, we all went to Build-A-Bear workshop. Each girl got to build her own bear and earn a patch. The Troop had fun choosing outfits and accessories. After building our bears, we went to the Aquarium. Here we found out where we would be sleeping. Everyone received T-shirts and had a chance to pick our souvenirs. The girls had a pizza party, and then behind-the-scenes tour of the Aquarium. We learned all about sharks, seahorses, sea turtles, and other creatures of the sea. Everyone was able to make shark necklaces while learning about the teeth of different sharks. Some of us slept under the tropical aquarium and some right under the sharks. We all had fun watching them swim right above us. It was an adventure to be together and learn about so many things. This trip and the spending money all came from the sales of fall product and cookie sales. Thank you, the community, for your support.
