‘Grease’ musical cast announced

·

The Kimball Community Playhouse Board of Directors is proud to announce the cast for their seventh musical, Grease. After a two-week-long audition process, in which potential cast members tried on different roles, learned dance numbers and practiced group songs, the production staff confidently cast the much-coveted 17 scripted roles. Leading the cast as Sandy Dumbrowski and Danny Zuko are Kelsey Klein of Kimball and Scott Babbitt of Watkins. The Pink Ladies are Jesi Mancini as Frenchy, Holly Latham as Marty, Collette Hagen as Jan and Vanessa Gillman as Betty Rizzo. They are joined by the shifty-looking Burger Palace Boys played by Camen Markgraf as Doody, Kody Taylor as Sonny, Zach Luedtke as Roger and Shawn Kendrick as Kenickie. Kayla Hinkemeyer plays the snarky cheerleader Patty Simcox and Sammi Stewart-James fills the dance shoes of Cha-Cha DeGregorio. Jared Capes plays nerdy Eugene Florcyzk and Sarah Messer looks down her nose as the disapproving English teacher Miss Lynch. Matt “born to hand jive” Mayala plays rock star wannabe Johnny Casino. Making cameo appearances are Ryan Rice as the crooning “teen angel” and Dave Markgraf as sleazy disc jockey Vince Fontaine. Supporting cast members include Katie Brugger, Tabitha Capes, Chelsie Colwill, Tyler Dockery, Maria Donnay, Colton Gettler, Whitney Gunnerson, Victor Hewitt, Kate Hoff, Albert Holker, Erin Holker, Torrey Hook, Alissa Jones, Ashley Kalkbrenner, Dan Kriedeman, Lybbi Labeau, Katey Luedtke, Kaylyn Mancini, Chelsey Maus, Kate Oster, Sarah Powell, Riley Rice, Lisa Stein, Ryan Stein and Kenzie Traurig.
