This year’s Pork Chop Trot was more of a fun run than an organized event. It’s usually part of the Holy Cross Parish Festival each year, and part of the fundraising events for the school. However, since the Diocese permanently closed the school in May, there is no need for a fundraiser, and not much reason to feel festive in Pearl Lake these days.
There was no registration this year for the Pork Chop Trot. Everyone was invited to just show up at 8 a.m. and run, preferably in an official T-shirt from a previous year.
This photo shows most of those who showed up for the fun run on Saturday, July 10, in Pearl Lake.
