Hwy. 15 resurfacing project began July 10

The MnDOT resurfacing project on Hwy. 15 from Dassel to Kimball got under way Monday, July 10. Work is scheduled to be completed by Oct. 6. Start and end dates could change due to weather and other unforeseeable circumstances.

Traffic impacts

• Hwy. 15 will close to through traffic on July 10, and will remain closed for the duration of the project (see area shown in red on map).

• The detour route uses Hwy. 12, Wright CR 3, and Hwy. 55 (see area shown in orange on the map).

• Signs near French Lake will direct local traffic to Kingston.

• Access will be available to people who live, work, or visit homes and businesses in the work zone area.

About this project

• Hwy. 15 is being resurfaced from Hwy. 12 in Dassel to the Meeker/Stearns County line near Kimball.

• Guardrail near the Kingston bridge will be replaced as part of the project.

• Thirty culverts will be lined along the project area, and three culverts will be replaced.

• A chip seal will be applied to the new pavement in early summer 2024.
