On Jan. 20, Deputy Shirley Zwack responded to a report of an Ice Castle fish house theft at Outlook Recreation in Lynden Township. The fish house had been taken sometime overnight after 7 p.m. and prior to it being discovered missing at 6 a.m. Jan. 20. The fish house is a 2021 blue Ice Castle T-Rec 2. The fish house that was stolen was valued at $38,000.
Unfortunately, at this time there are no suspects in this theft. Surrounding businesses are being canvassed in hopes some video of the theft can be located. For those of you who venture out onto the ice, if you happen to see the stolen fish house please call the Sheriff’s office at (320) 251-4240 or your local law enforcement agency. If someone wants to sell you a new house at a greatly reduced price, the Sheriff’s Office suggests checking the VIN number.
