Immigrants’ Christmas

·

Minnesota Pioneer Park will host its annual Immigrants’ Christmas festivities from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. Go back in time to the traditional Christmas of various ethnic pioneers, view authentically decorated buildings and displays and sample treats and sweets. Volunteers will take visitors back to holiday time and the way Christmas was celebrated in pioneer days. There will be strolling musicians, horse-drawn wagon rides, homemade beef stew, hot apple cider, authentic fry bread and other homemade goodies. There will also be home-baked cakes, cookies and pies, and fresh cut trees from one of the buildings available for a $10 donation (without decorations). The park is located along Hwy. 55 in Annandale. For more information, call (320) 274-8489.
