Jennifer (Rossman) Johnson of South Haven died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004, at the Fairview University Medical Center in Minneapolis. A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Dassel with Rev. Michael McCain officiating. Interment followed at the Lake Union Cemetery in South Haven. Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at the Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel. A one-hour visitation preceded the service Saturday at the church. Jennifer Ethel Rossman was born Sept. 29, 1982, in Litchfield to Steve and Connie (Myllykangas) Rossman. Jennifer was baptized and confirmed at the Kingston Apostolic Lutheran Church; she was presently attending the Lake Union Covenant Church at the time of her death. Jennifer grew up in the South Haven area and graduated from Kimball Area High School in 2001. She was an active member of the Kimball High School Band and attended the International Music Camp at the International Peace Garden in North Dakota. Jennifer played for the Kimball Area High School volleyball and basketball teams. Jennifer was united in marriage to Lonnie Johnson Feb. 14, 2002, at the Lake Union Covenant Church. She enjoyed life to its fullest. She liked to be outdoors, enjoying camping and four-wheeling. Jennifer always looked forward to the time that she could spend with her nieces and nephews, and especially enjoyed the times that her family would get together. She loved to shock her family by changing her hair styles and hair color. Jennifer collected many different types of cow memorabilia. Jennifer was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Lillian and Gordon Myllykangas, and her paternal grandparents Marie and Edwin Rossman. She is survived by her husband Lonnie Johnson of St. Cloud; her parents Steve and Connie Rossman of South Haven; two brothers, Sam (and Crystal) Rossman and their children Ariel and Kyrie of Kimball, and Pat (and Bonnie) Rossman of Sauk Rapids; sister Jaclyn (and James) Rhodes and their children Kaley, Caleb and Lillian of Becker; godfather Daniel Myllykangas and godmother Lori Rossman. Jennifer is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
