John served as chief of the Kimball Area Fire and Rescue for the last six years. Some things that were accomplished by the department while John was chief include the development of the department training site, obtained funding to get better equipment for the department and worked closely with other departments on communication and mutual aide availability. The training site sits on the East side of Kimball and was built as a joint venture with South Haven Fire and Rescue. This site is used to train members for different situations they may need to be prepared for. John was also the vice president of the Stearns County Chief?Äôs Association. The members of the Kimball Area Fire and Rescue Department want to thank John for his six years of service as chief.
