Loch family donates money for softball project

·

The Loch family has donated money to complete another phase of the softball project. The improvements on both Junior Varsity fields included putting up a scoreboard and naming the fields after two outstanding booster club members. The softball JV field was named in memory of James Loch, a booster club
member, who had donated his time and talents in many areas of the club. James, Roger Utecht, and Glen Schindele had started improvements on the field which included dugouts, home run fence, and now a scoreboard.

The Loch family donation helped with the next phase of the improvement plan which included this scoreboard. The JV baseball field was named after Dana VonWahlde. Thank you to all the booster club members for work on these new boards and their donation to the school. The scoreboards are a nice improvement to our fields. Should be great for our teams to use in the future.

At right, the Kimball JV softball field has been named in honor of James Loch after his family (in the photo, pictured are Kim, Krista, Carly, Matthew, Maleah, and Josh) donated funds in his name for the project. At left, the JV baseball field has been named in honor of Dana VonWahlde. Both Loch and VonWahlde were avid fans, sports parents, and boosters, and both passed away in the past two years, both far too young. Submitted photos.
