Lori Leonard died Monday, April 18, 2016, at her Kimball home with her husband at her side after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 57.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 24, at First Lutheran Church in Kensington, Minn., with pastor Irv Arnquist officiating. Burial will follow at First Lutheran Cemetery in Kensington.
Lori Lyn Leonard was born Aug. 30, 1958, in Alexandria to Levan and Delores (Bethke) Gilbertson. She graduated from Kensington High School with the Class of 1976, and continued her education at Alexandria Technical College. She was united in marriage Oct. 8, 1977, to Jerome Leonard and they were remarried June 28, 2008. Lori enjoyed sewing, camping, gardening and spending time with family.
Lori was preceded in death by her father Levan Gilbertson.
She is survived by her husband Jerome; children Jill Leonard of St. Cloud, and Jesse Blaylock of Cokato; mother Delores Gilbertson of Kensington; grandchildren Sean, Dylan, and Nevan; sisters and brothers and their spouses LeeAnn (and Jim) Hagle of Detroit Lakes, David (and Debbie) Gilbertson of Kensington, and Nancy (and Loren) Anderson of Colorado Springs, Colo.
The urn bearers will be Jesse Blaylock, Jill, Dylan and Sean Leonard. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.
