An important role in 4-H clubs is that of reporter. The reporter prepares and submits the stories you read in your local newspaper about what the club is doing. They?Äôre also responsible for taking photos of club activities.
New 4-H officers had their training Monday evening, Oct. 19, at the Meeker County 4-H Federation headquarters in Litchfield.
Five of the county?Äôs clubs were represented. Tri-County News editor and publisher Jean Matua was invited to spend nearly an hour training the new reporters on the essentials of their new roles.
Their job is to tell a story, one that people will want to read. Hopefully they now have the tools needed to do this effectively. Most of all, we hope they have fun telling the stories and promoting the activities of their respective clubs.
