At 8:28 p.m. Friday, July 3, a Meeker County Deputy attempted to stop a vehicle on US Hwy. 12, just west of MN Hwy. 15, in Dassel Township, on suspicion the driver was intoxicated. The driver, later identified as Megan Bryan, 35 of St. Cloud, fled from the deputy. The deputy pursued for about 5 miles before the driver stopped. Megan Bryan was arrested without further incident for DUI and fleeing a peace officer. A preliminary investigation revealed Bryan’s blood alcohol content was .30. A passenger, Dana Laughton, 27 of Darwin, was arrested for obstructing when she physically resisted deputies. Laughton was also charged with introducing contraband into a jail. Laughton posted bail and was given a court date for July 28. Bryan made her first court appearance on Monday July 6.
At 3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 5, a Meeker County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Andrew Dmytruk, 26 of Litchfield, on US Hwy 12 and 560th Ave. in Litchfield Township. Dmytruk initially stopped for the deputy and was identified. Dmytruk then drove away from the traffic stop and the deputy pursued. As Dmytruk approached another officer who was waiting for the pursuit to pass by, he pulled over and was arrested without further incident. The pursuit lasted about 2 miles. Dmytruk was booked in the Meeker County jail for charges including fleeing a peace officer and controlled substance violations. Dmytruk made his first court appearance on Monday July 6.c
