Relay for Life remembers those who have struggled with cancer

·

Relay for Life 2003 will take place on Friday, June 6. This annual event is the perfect opportunity to support cancer survivors in the Kimball area. Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society would like to invite you to be our guest at this event. We welcome your presence to help us celebrate life for those people who have survived their battle with cancer, and to remember those who have lost their lives to cancer. Cancer survivors are invited to attend a reception beginning at 5 p.m. on the Kimball athletic field, followed by a survivor’s lap around the track at 6:30 p.m. The “Final Answer Quartet” will perform at 7:45 p.m. Our lighting ceremony and guest speakers will begin at 9 p.m. We will have a D.J. and a solo performance by Ryan Rice. If you’ve never seen a Relay for Life event, come and experience one for the first time. A darkened field begins to glow with each candle lit during the lighting ceremony. A silent time is held in which to remember those who have lost the battle with cancer, and also to think about those who are battling for their lives. Please plan on joining us for this year’s Relay for Life event. Desiree Joseph Merciers once said that “We must not only give what we have. We must also give what we are.” Take time to give what you are and come join us to experience the power of Relay for Life.
