RL boys post-season venture

The River Lakes boys’ hockey team entered playoffs on Tuesday, Feb. 20, in the Section 5A quarterfinals at Paynesville’s Koronis Civic Arena. Fourth-seeded River Lakes knocked off fifth-seeded Pine City, 4-3. The win put the Stars’ record at 15-9-2. River Lakes then took on top-seeded St. Cloud Cathedral, Saturday, Feb. 24, in the Section semifinals, at the Municipal Athletic Complex in St. Cloud. The boys fell to the Crusaders, 6-1.
