Weather: Stormy weather conditions once again moved across Minnesota Friday night into early Saturday. Large hail and strong winds moved across much of central and west central Minnesota.
Meanwhile, The National Weather Service confi rmed that an EF-1 tornado touched down near Watertown just west of the Twin Cities late Friday night intoearly Saturday.
Officials say that the tornado packed ?Äúpeak winds estimated at 105 mph as it left a path of damage 4.3 miles long and up to 500 yards wide through Hollywood Township.?Äù

storms.
The good news is that high pressure built back into the state of Minnesota by Saturday afternoon and Sunday. This allowed for some quieter weather for most of Minnesota.
A weak disturbance did track across parts of southern Minnesota and brought some spotty showers to that part of the
state on Sunday.
The rest of the state did enjoy a great day on Sunday with high temperatures in the low to mid 80s
common.
Montevideo and Appleton both hit 87 degrees on Sunday for the warm spots around the state.
Looking ahead, we will have additional chances for thunderstorms for this week. The best chances later in the week will
come Thursday night into Friday.
Dew points Thursday, Friday and Saturday will climb into the mid to upper 60s and lower 70s. This again will be the fuel to help fire off some thunderstorms along the way.
Weather history: On this date in 1972 ?Äúa signifi cant downpour occurs over a portion of Minnesota, with 10.84 inches of
