Temps warm up by weekend

·

Weather: Showers and thunderstorms moved across parts of Minnesota on Saturday as a low pressure system along with a cold front pushed across the Upper Midwest. A tornado watch was also issued for much of the state for the potential of severe weather.

The real problem was the wind across the state Saturday night and Sunday. This caused some problems for high profile vehicles along with those doing any outdoor activities over the weekend and for the start of the week.

Thankfully, the wind did back down by Tuesday night and will continue across the area for the midweek.

Our weather will become more unsettled for Thursday and Friday as a low-pressure system pushes out of North Dakota and South Dakota. This will bring a good chance for showers and thunderstorms Thursday afternoon into Friday across Minnesota.

Drier weather will return to the area by the weekend, but a stray shower or thunderstorm is still possible over the weekend.

Temperatures will also warm up by the weekend for one of the last hurrahs of the summer before September arrives. Look for low- to mid-80s Saturday and Sunday.

Have a fun upcoming weekend!
