Thefts from vehicle


Wednesday, June 11, the Stearns County Sheriff?Äôs office took the report of a theft from a motor vehicle in the 41800 block of Co. Rd. 1 in Brockway Twp. Taken was money and paperwork for a bank account. Friday, June 13, the Sheriff?Äôs Office took the report of three thefts from a motor vehicle in the area of 5th Ave. NE in the City of St. Stephen. Taken in these thefts were two Ipods, several power tools, cash and two handguns. The handguns were described as a Ruger Mark 1 .22 caliber pistol and a Ruger model 03313 9mm pistol. Several other vehicles were also gone through with nothing reported to be missing. The vehicles were all unlocked at the time of the thefts. The Stearns County Sheriff?Äôs Office would like to remind citizens that vehicles left outside overnight should have valuables removed or hidden and the doors locked. Anyone with information on these thefts is asked to call the Sheriff?Äôs Office at (320) 251-4240. One additional break in was reported late Friday morning, June 13, in the same area, at Marie Crt., in St. Stephen. Money was taken in that theft.

The only suspect description available is a male wearing blue jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt.
