Rockville County Park & Nature Preserve and Spring Hill County Park will close temporarily to the public in November to accommodate a special deer hunting opportunity for people with physical disabilities.
Both Stearns County Parks are closed beginning Saturday, Nov. 4. Rockville County Park will remain closed through Nov. 12. Spring Hill County Park through Nov. 30.
The hunters applied and were selected through a random drawing by Midwest Outdoors Unlimited for the deer hunt. Each disabled hunter will be accompanied by one able-bodied person from Midwest Outdoors Unlimited while in the park.
Midwest Outdoors Unlimited is a non-profit organization that manages special hunting opportunities for people with a disability.
