Three of several of Santa’s elves on hand Saturday, Dec. 11, at Watkins Village Hall, called out the names of door prize winners after the annual Holiday play. This year’s performance was a recording of the play two years ago, “Grinch in Hollyville,” shown on a movie screen. Before the show, the Watkins Lions hosted their Christmas shop (where kids could purchase gifts for $1). After the show, and the door prizes, Santa made his annual appearance. Later, the Watkins Lions had free hot dogs and hot chocolate for everyone down at the Skating Rink, along with horse-drawn sleigh rides. Staff photo by Anton Matua.
