Youth can explore the World of Business & Entrepreneurship in hands-on summer program
Area teens will get a unique opportunity to step into the world of entrepreneurship this summer through the Business & Entrepreneur Exploring Post, hosted by Central Minnesota Exploring. The immersive, week-long program will run June 9-13, and is open to youth ages 14-20 who are interested in learning how businesses are built, led, and grown.
The program is generously sponsored by the St. Cloud Morning Optimist Club, and presented in partnership with Automotive Parts Headquarters, Alliance Imaging, Blacklight Adventures, Evermore Co, Falcon National Bank, MN Cup (Holmes Center for Entrepreneurship), and the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce. Each of these businesses plays an active role in the week, hosting sessions, leading activities, and mentoring youth.
Participants will spend five dynamic days visiting a wide variety of businesses throughout the St. Cloud area, gaining insight into marketing, management, finance, human resources, and more. Each day features direct interaction with local professionals, hands-on learning activities, and real-world skill-building experiences – including mock interviewing, problem-solving challenges, and networking at a St. Cloud Area Chamber meeting.
“We’re excited to offer this summer-friendly format that introduces teens to an incredible range of business fields and career paths,” said Sarah Dean, Exploring Program Director. “This post is a powerful way to spark interest, build confidence, and connect youth with mentors in our own community.”
The post is part of Exploring, a national career education program that connects youth with professionals across industries. No previous experience is required to join – just curiosity and a willingness to explore.
Registration is now open at bsacmc.org/exploring. Space is limited, and early sign-up is encouraged.
