St. Cloud State University will offer a series of youth soccer clinics during the month of January 2008. The SCSU Husky Kickers Youth Soccer Clinics will take place on three Saturday mornings during January (Jan. 5, 19 and 26) indoors on the field at the St. Cloud State Husky Dome. The first session from 8:30-9:30 a.m. each day is open to 3-5 year-old players. The second session each day is from 9:30-10:30 a.m., and open to soccer players ages 6-8 years-old. The cost for the clinics are $30 per person, and the fee includes a clinic T-shirt. The Husky Kickers Clinics are designed for boy and girl soccer players of all skill levels. The 2008 Husky Kickers youth soccer clinics will be in a “station” format, with an introduction to the basic skills of soccer. Areas of concentration in the clinic will include passing, dribbling, shooting and other game fundamentals. All participants should wear soccer cleats or tennis shoes and bring a water bottle (with your name on it). Shin guards are also recommended for all clinic participants but they are not mandatory.
