Thanks from Pork Chop Trot 5K/1K

·

We had 126 registered for the 5K and 34 for the 1K. We enjoyed the new addition of Porky and Petunia the Piglets borrowed from Millcreek Dairy. Kids running the 1K enjoyed a finishing medal as well as a freezie. All runners/walkers could enter to win pig-themed door prizes for the kids and pork chops from
Bannockburn Farm, gift certificates to the Pearl Lake Lodge, Endurunce Shop, Powder Ridge, tickets to a Rox Baseball game, and a hoodie sweatshirt from Krippner Trucking and Excavating. The overall winner for both male and female categories enjoyed a $25 gift card to Scheels.

We?Äôd like to thank everyone who came to run, walk, volunteer or cheer on everyone at the 9th annual Pork Chop Trot 5K/1K. It was a beautiful morning! We?Äôd like to thank all of our sponsors, including All Pro Powder Coating and Sandblasting, Pearl Lake Lodge, Augusta Electric, Schiefelbein Farms, Bannockburn Farm, Catholic Order of Foresters-Watkins, Harvest Bank, Krippner Trucking and Excavating, Inc., Land O?ÄôLakes Oil & Propane Co., Millcreek Dairy, St. Cloud Orthopedics, A.M.  The first runner coming through at 17:32 was Ryan Lewandowski of Sartell, followed by Brent Heinen of Cold Spring at 18:47, with sisters Anna and Emily Donnay of Kimball crossing the finish line holding hands at 19:07. McKenzie Holt of St. Cloud finished fifth at 19:17.

We had a wide range of runners with Ryan Donnay as the youngest runner in the 5K at age 6, and the youngest at heart were both Ethel Donnay from Watkins and Dennis Frahm from South Dakota at 71! What a great example for all of us!w-fr-ron-finishing

Looking forward to next year,
