Eugene ‘Gene-o’ Erpelding, 62

Eugene “Gene-o” Erpelding died Friday, May 13, 2005, at his Watkins home. He was 62.
Memorial services will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ertl Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Gross officiating. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home; Watkins Legion Post 453 prayers will be at 7 p.m.
Eugene Erpelding was born Sept. 22, 1942, in St. Cloud to Frank and Dorthy (Merkling) Erpelding. He was employed by R.M. Johnson Co. in Annandale for 17 years. He was a member of the Watkins American Legion Post 453 and the Catholic Order of Foresters.
Gene-o Erpelding was preceded in death by his parents, son David Erpelding, and grandson Nicholas Erpelding.
He is survived by his wife Pam of Watkins; children Gene Erpelding Jr. of Watkins, Steve Erpelding of Watkins, Brad (and Jenny) Erpelding of Watkins; four grandchildren; brothers and sisters Earl (and Connie) Erpelding of Plymouth, Ron (and DeLayne) Erpelding of Willmar, and Audry (and Gary) Ashwill of Gary, Ind.
