The past few weeks have seen some major milestones for EV-W athletics.
Both the Eagle boys?Äô and girls?Äô basketball teams are currently ranked in the top 10 in Class 2A. The boys, with a record of 15-3, are ranked 10th while the girls, 19-3, are ranked 8th. The girls are atop the Central Minnesota Conference with a record of 10-0, and the boys are 8-1 and tied with Holdingford for first.
Girls?Äô coach Tom Jansen notched his 400th career win. In his 20th year at EV-W, Jansen has a career record of 402 wins and 139 losses.
In boys?Äô basketball, two players hit their 1,000th career point the same week. Jacob Streit scored his 1,000th point against Rush City
Jan. 24, and teammate Reese Jansen hit his 1,000th point during the following game against Pierz.
In wrestling, junior Matt Schindler was recognized for winning his 100th match Feb. 7.
